Bald Knob National Wildlife Refuge
Bald Knob National Wildlife Refuge is a favorite birding spot among birders. Each year hundreds of thousands of migrating shorebirds and waders visit the shallow ponds during migration. Rosette Spoonbill, White Ibis, Wood Stork, Black-bellied Plover, Willet, and Upland Sandpiper are just a few of the special species reported here.

Camp Robinson Special Use Area
Located in Faulkner County, Camp Robinson Special Use Area (SUA) is 4,029-acre of oak savannah, prairie, and a 60-acre nursery pond. Frequent burning and mowing maintains habitat for breeding Bachman's Sparrow and Bell's Vireo. Migratory birds include Louisiana Waterthrush, American Redstart, Northern Parula and Black-throated Green Warbler.

Two Rivers Park
Two Rivers Park is home to a variety of bird life. A total of 146 species have been logged in for the park so far, including 5 species of wren, 11 sparrows, 7 vireos, 17 warblers, Sora and Virginia Rail.

Bell Slough Wildlife Management Area
Because of the diverse habitat, Bell Slough Wildlife Management Area can be birded almost year round. During winter, hundreds of gulls, including Bonaparte’s can be viewed from Bell Slough North. At Bell Slough South, spring brings a variety of migrants, including Philadelphia Vireos and Yellow-throated Warblers. Breeding birds include: Prothonotary Warbler and Great-crested Flycatcher.

Cook's Landing
Cook’s Landing is a day use only park that offers several areas of recreation including fishing, bicycling, walking and birding. Located on the Arkansas River just east of the I-430 bridge in North Little Rock, this area offers a variety of birding opportunities. Several species of land birds and waterfowl can be seen here including Baltimore and Orchard Orioles, Osprey, Pied-billed Grebe, Bufflehead, Belted Kingfisher, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher and Purple Martin.
