Andrew H. Hulsey State Fish Hatchery
Located in Garland County, near the south shore of Lake Hamilton, the Andrew Hulsey State Fish Hatchery comprises of several ponds of various sizes. In winter, the ponds attract ducks such as Northern Shoveler, American Wigeon, Ring-necked Duck, and Bufflehead. During spring and fall migration, the drained, muddy ponds attract several species of shorebirds.

Garvan Woodland Gardens
Located in Garland County near Hot Springs, Garvan Woodland Gardens features 210 acres of woodland gardens surrounded by 4 ½ miles of Lake Hamilton shoreline. Built upon the vision of Verna C. Garvan, the Gardens have grown to become an internationally respected botanical garden attracting visitors from throughout the world. In 2008, 120 species of birds were recorded here including Olive-sided Flycatcher, Tree Swallow, Scarlet Tanager, and Louisiana Waterthrush.
